WHAT WE OFFER AT OAK HILLS CHURCH
Parent groups are small communities of parents (with children of all ages) gathering regularly to share life together and apply God's Word to real-life family situations. Gatherings typically include prayer, fellowship, Scripture study, accountability, and hospitality. Groups meet anywhere we live, work, learn and play. COVID-19: Most groups meeting online during COVID-19.
Parent classes consist of 15-150 people gathering for the primary purpose of learning about parenting in practical ways through a biblical lens. Classes meet for a defined period, typically 4-12 weeks. Classes are topical, follow a curriculum, and include teaching, group discussion, and self-directed learning (homework). COVID-19: Most classes will be online only during COVID-19.
Parent events are one-time special event opportunities for parents with children of all ages. Parent events include Parent Talks, Parent Connection Zooms, and Recharge: A Parent Conference. Events are based on topics relevant to biblical parenting and include guest speakers who specialize in that topic. Parent events are held both online and in person.
Family milestones are opportunities where the church partners with parents to encourage the next generation to know and follow Jesus.
