The Belize Team will travel via airplane from San Antonio, to Belize. We will be serving under the leadership of Thirst Missions, our local ministry partner in Belize. For 7 days, our team will serve with medial and children's ministry at several villages organized by Thirst Missions.
Regardless of your experience or language knowledge, all of your multifaceted gifts can be used on this trip. Do not underestimate your value in building God’s Kingdom abroad because you believe you’re lacking an associated ministry skill. God can use your exclusive talents on our Oak Hills Church short-term team to serve Him in this mission journey. “God doesn’t call the equipped, God equips the called.”
Trip Details:
- Total Trip Cost: $2,150. Land Cost is all inclusive of meals, lodging, in-country transportation, insurance, interpreters, bottled water, sightseeing, ministry supplies, etc. Airfare Cost will cover roundtrip airfare to/from SAT to Belize.. Airfare travel must be purchased through OHC.
- Place of Stay: The team will stay in several hotels in Belize. Rooms will be double or triple occupancy. The hotel has showers, with hot water; bathroom facilities are included in each room. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in trip cost.
- Trip Orientation/Team Meetings: We will have several Team meetings prior to our trip. We will provide you with a Team Informational Packet at the 1st Team Meeting. Team Meetings are required and will focus on building team unity, learning about the culture of our designated country, discuss and plan for our in-country service.
Belize Itinerary for the Week (Tentative)
October 11: Depart San Antonio early arriving in Belize around noon. Check in Hotel/ Team orientation for the week.
October 12-14: 7:00 am breakfast departing at 8:00 to various villages set up by Thirst Missions for our medical clinics.
October 15: 6:30 am breakfast to depart at 7:30 to Lamanai Mayan ruins, depart at noon to village medical clinics.
October 16: Check out of hotel at 8:00 am and drive to Belize City; board a water Taxi to Caye Caulker Island; check in Hotel, relax and enjoy, team debrief.
October 17: Early water taxi to Belize city and travel to the airport for afternoon departure and return to San Antonio, TX, USA.
